When prompted by the site to get your first adopt you are directed to a page. There it has a few options on how to get your first 'pillar. However, upon arriving there were no free starter adopts available. This is exactly what's listed:

There is not an adoptable available at this point, please come back later.
"
It just seems odd to me that there wouldnt be a free starter adopt available at all times... Kind of defeats the purpose ya know?
